System (Mg+E)` - (1.0 mmol/L MgCl₂ + 1.0 mmol/L CaCl₂+ 1.0 mmol/L EDTA / dist. water)

System Mg: At pH 12.0 Mg(OH)₂ is formed.

Systemprint

System (Mg+E): At pH 5.4 a EDTA-Mg-OH-complex is formed.

Systemprint with Additive, helps you to check the influence of an Additive

System (Mg+E)´: Due to the greater log K_MY of Ca⁺², Mg⁺² ions will be set free and begin to complex with OH^-ions at pH 11.4.
